Founder, and the person who realized he simply couldn’t operate this blog on his own so he found amazing creative individuals to redefine and redesign theINDIVIDUALIST. A self claimed entrepreneur, photographer, style expert and a professional daydreamer. Shafi Sultan, a person who only wore sweatpants and overly sized shirts as an early teenager has come a long way since then. Today, he advocates for well-fitted clothes that bring confidence and poshness. He is the only one in his family to care for fashion and great style and has experimented over the years with different trends and styles. His personal style is an influence of great style icons like Steve Macqueen and David Gandy among with other influences that come from people he photographs and his cultural background. He strongly believes in the words of Yves Saint Laurent, “fashions fade, style is eternal” and tries to live by them. Inspiration and beauty for him is everywhere and highly appreciates mechanical watches and contemporary art. He hopes theINDIVIDUALIST can become the source of fashion and style (and more) for many creative individuals.ps. Individualist is his favourite word.

Chrysant Jonatan is an individual who does not know what kind of statement is best suited to open a bio. She is currently a student specializing in Art & Art History at the University of Toronto but is hoping that this status will change soon when she graduates within the next couple of years. Photography, design, art galleries, thrift stores, Assassin’s Creed, and cats are among the many things she adores. Brussels sprouts, people who do not hold doors, math and writing bios are among the things that she can’t help but to strongly dislike. Her personal style mainly revolves around edginess, neutral colours and black boots but can vary depending on her mood. To her, inspiration is absorbed from all facets of life and culture. Fashion is a discovery she had to make by herself since her mother was a tomboy and never gave her outfits a second thought. She considers this a blessing; through it she learned it has never been about what you are wearing but how you are wearing it. You will never commit a fashion faux pas when you dress yourself with good character, put on a good pair of perspective, and accessorize with understanding.

Being an enthusiast of both aesthetics and technicality, Sandes De Silva possess a unique skill-set to both appreciate style and to develop a medium in which to express. This collaboration has played a vital role in the redefinition and the redesign of theINDIVIDUALIST. He was exposed to fashion through his seamstress grandmother who was a magician with the sewing machine. His dad often mentions how she not only managed to tailor clothing for her 6 sons but also for the dozen or so boys boarding at her house in order to go to the schools nearby. He follows his mantra of fit, fabric, and style to incorporate classical pieces with modern twists. In addition, he also takes pride in his ability to look sharp without breaking the bank. Great clothes do not have to come at a great price. Finding pieces at a bargain and having close ties with a tailor who is honest and understands your style is the cornerstone to his style.
